AIRBRUSH TANNING FAQ
I have fair skin and only burn and freckle in the sun. Can Sun Buni Brown really give me a tan?
Absolutely, we guarantee it!
Is it true that an airbrush tan will help minimize the appearance of cellulite & varicose veins?
YES. An airbrush tan will also minimize the appearance of scars, blemishes, vitiligo and even unwanted tan lines!
Why not just use a cream or lotion tanner?
Imagine the difference between using your hands to smear paint over your car and using an airbrush to paint it. You just can't achieve the same even, natural coverage.
What is in airbrush tanning solution?
Our tanning solutions contain the same ingredients found in many top-quality cosmetic products. Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is actually derived from sugar cane and has been approved by the FDA since 1973. Our solutions are paraben-free and contain a bronzer for an instant tan along with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E to help hydrate & repair the skin, and other natural ingredients. Why a Custom Airbrush Tan?
Nothing compares with a custom airbrush tan applied by a trained technician. We offer a full range of tanning solutions to accomodate your skin type and desired level of tan. Our technicians use "body sculpting" techniques personalized for your shape and skin. Blending subtle tones of light and dark we can enhance your curves and cleavage, melting away the pounds to make you look a full dress size smaller. And absolutely No blotchy streaks or white spots - just a gorgeous, natural looking tan.
So then what's the difference between a "spray tan" and a "custom airbrush tan?"
Equipment, technique and penetration. A spray tan is done with basically the same type of equipment MAACO uses to paint your car. These "high velocity low pressure" (HVLP) systems are designed for quick application and to reduce the amount of solution needed for a tan. Our specially modified airbrushes are designed for precision & control like those used to apply airbrush makeup.
Application with these two systems varies in technique & penetration. Spray tans have a wide, fast application. The solution in a Sun Buni Brown Custom Airbrush Tan gently covers the skin like dewfall. Applying light layers instead of one heavy coat allows for deep even penetration rather than the solution drying on surface of the skin.
How long does it take to apply?
We understand that our customers are on-the-go people and pride ourselves with keeping tanning sessions to under half an hour. Ten minutes for the airbrushing, a few minutes for powdering, slip on your sweats and go - it's that quick!
How often should I get tanned?
Once-a-week tanning sessions maintain fantastic color. Applying more often will achieve an even darker, more vibrant tan.
Will my sunless tan protect me from the sun?
Your sunless tan provides no UVA/UVB protection. Use a good sun block if you plan to be outside.
