Joe Sikora is a professional engineer, a long time member of the Mustang Club of America (#1170, since 1979), and a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS). He has been an MCA certified, 67/ 68 and 69/70 judge since the mid-eighties, an NCRS judge since 1996 and most recently an assistant Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Mustang judge. Joe has been an officer and the head judge for the Mustang Club of Tidewater an original Ford Motor Company chartered Mustang club established in 1967, a member of the Ranchero Club and is presently on the board and southeast area representative for the Mid Atlantic Chapter of the NCRS. He has owned the Detail Shop, originally started as a Mustang reproduction parts manufacturing company, for over ten years.
Joe has owned and restored over 26 fine automobiles including a one-owner, 1966 Mustang 289 Hiper GT coupe, an ex race, 1967 Mustang fastback (featured "Mustang Times," October 1988), a 38K mile, unrestored, 1967 Shelby GT 500, over a half dozen Cobra Jet Mustangs (including a 1969 SCJ Mach 1 certified as an MCA thoroughbred), an insurance salvaged 1995 Mustang, a factory sunroof, 1969 Cougar Eliminator, 1967 and 1977 Rancheros, a 1979 Corvette and a 1967 427/435hp Sting Ray coupe. He has written over a dozen automobile related articles, co-authored two professional papers and been cited in two others.
